Alhamdulillah, MCAS is honoured to share our recent participation at the 2025 Australasian Road Safety Conference (ARSC), held in Perth from 20–23 October 2025. This year, our team was represented as both a speaker and a recipient of the LMIC Scholarship, a meaningful acknowledgment of the relevance and potential impact of our work on motorcycle safety, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) and the conference sponsors for their continued commitment to supporting innovation and capacity building in global road safety. The LMIC scholarship made it possible for us to join this important gathering and contribute to conversations shaping the future of safer mobility.
What stood out most throughout the conference was the genuine interest and engagement from participants. Every session—whether focused on policy, technology, human factors, or infrastructure—sparked thoughtful questions and meaningful dialogue. It was truly inspiring to see MCAS and our research on motorcycle collision alert systems resonate with practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and industry partners from across the region.
ARSC 2025 reaffirmed that the global road safety community is deeply committed to reducing motorcycle fatalities and keen to explore practical, scalable solutions. Being part of this vibrant network strengthens our resolve to continue improving MCAS+, expanding collaborations, and bringing accessible safety technologies to riders who need them most.
We return from Perth more motivated than ever to push forward. We look forward to contributing again at future ARSC gatherings and continuing to share knowledge, evidence, and innovation with this passionate community.

Stay tuned for upcoming updates as we prepare the next phase of MCAS+ development and international collaboration.
